The How to Start a Startup YouTube series by Y Combinator is an absolute gold mine waiting to be dug. But the raw information (over 16 hours of content) is impossible to share easily. The barrier to it is exceptionally high and requires immense patience and dedication.

I see a lot of people sitting and dwelling on ideas, unsure of the idea or themselves. We're so badly trapped in our own minds that we can never imagine ourselves of being worthy, smart enough or ready to run something of our own. This series changed that for me, I almost felt a rush of exhilaration after each lecture. It equipped me with mental models to go about what the startup world had in store. Since I had the privilege and time to commit to the series, I had to do my bit and share it with everyone I can.

This is my attempt to cover the points that stood out the most for me and have been transformational in my life. I hope it adds some value in your life and empowers you to believe in yourself.

It's been made clear at various stages through this series that starting a startup for the wrong reasons will not work out. While I strongly believe in it, I also feel that YC didn't anticipate a particular outcome of this series. It lights an entrepreneurial spirit inside you, so while I believe that not everyone should be a founder, everyone should be an entrepreneur undoubtedly.

I've been trying to compile my learnings from this for a really long time and haven't been able to be at peace without actually doing it. This project is not nearly as complete as I'd like it to be, but I realized I might end up sitting on it forever. So I'm sharing this as a live project with everyone.

Hope you enjoy it!
